Du 13 au 19 mai, à l’occasion de la Museum Week, le Château de Montsoreau-Musée d’art contemporain, partenaire de l’événement, s’associe à Wikipedia pour organiser un Edit-A-Thon ou marathon d’édition d’une d’une semaine destiné aux femmes. L’Edit-a-thon vise à créer du contenu sur les œuvres de Art & Language et à lutter contre le déficit de contributions des femmes sur Wikipedia ( moins de 10% des éditeurs de Wikipedia sont des femmes).
Edit-A-Thon : quézako ?
Un éditathon est une séance pendant laquelle un groupe de personnes découvre et contribue sur l’encyclopédie en ligne Wikipédia, sur un thème à partir de ressources mises à disposition. Ces personnes peuvent : créer un article, traduire un article depuis un Wikipédia étranger, enrichir un article existant (restructurer, ajouter du contenu), ajouter des sources à un article, légender des photos, trouver des photos libres de droit pour illustrer un article ou encore corriger des articles existants.
Au Château de Montsoreau-Musée d’art contemporain, ce challenge collaboratif adopte un format inédit – une semaine non stop de contributions – et s’adresse en particulier aux femmes mises à l’honneur lors de la Museum Week avec le hashtag #WomenInCulture.
Museum Week
A chaque jour un hashatag, à chaque jour une ou plusieurs œuvres du collectif Art & Language feront l’objet de contributions lors de l’édit-a-thon.

Prérequis
Pas de connaissance particulière de Wikipédia. Les participants se créeront au préalable un compte sur Wikipédia (en cliquant ici). Une session de formation sera offerte mais une aide sera disponible tout au long de l’événement. Les participants sont priés d’apporter leurs propres ordinateurs portables et chargeurs. Un accès Wi-Fi ainsi que le catering sont fournis. Vous disposerez de livres issus du fonds documentaire du Château de Montsoreau-Musée d’art contemporain. EDIT-A-THON 13-19.05.2019
From the 13 to the 19 of May, on the occasion of the Museum Week, the Chateau de Montsoreau-Museum of Contemporary art, partner of the event, joins forces to Wikipedia to organise an Edit-A-Thon or an edition marathon for a week which is addressed to women. The Edit-A-Thon aims to create ‘contents’ on the Art & Language master pieces, but also to raise awareness on the lack of women’s contents on Wikipedia (indeed less than 10% of the contributors are women).
Edit-A-Thon : what does it mean ?
An editathon is a sitting where a group of people discovers and contributes to the Wikipedia web encyclopaedia, on a theme (with the helped of our documentary resources). These people can : create an article, translate an article from a foreign Wikipedia, enrich an article (reorganize, add contents), add sources to an article, title photos, find photos rights free to illustrate an article or even correct some articles.
At Château de Montsoreau-Museum of contemporary art, this collaborative challenge adopts a unique format – a non-stop week of contributions – and is aimed at women in particular, those who are in the spotlight during the Museum Week with the hashtag #WomenInCulture.

A hashtag will be given every single day, as well as one or several works of art of the group Art & Language will be the subject of contributions during the edit-a-thon.

Prerequisite
No particular knowledge in Wikipedia is needed. The participants will be creating beforehand a Wikipedia account. A training course is offered but someone will be there to help throughout the event. The participants must bring their computers and chargers. An access to the Wifi as well as catering will be furnished. You will have the free access to the documentary resources of the Chateau de Montsoreau-Museum of contemporary art.
